As part of the Festivities in Honour of Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem in Moita, the ‘Tarde do Fogareiro’ event, which takes place on 18 September, will be supported by Amarsul, which will be present with an Environmental Education Team to raise awareness amongst participating groups and the public about the correct sorting of glass packaging.
For this year’s event, bags will be provided exclusively for the disposal of glass packaging, as well as tilting glass collection bins at various points around the venue.
Amarsul’s Environmental Education Team will also collect glass packaging from the participating groups using collection rucksacks. At the end of the event, collection from the venue will be carried out by Amarsul vehicles, in coordination with the local council.
In 2025, over 6 tonnes of glass packaging were collected. This year, the aim is to build on this result, emphasising the importance of proper sorting and contributing to an increasingly environmentally conscious and responsible ‘Tarde do Fogareiro’.
