Pupils and teachers from Carlos Gargaté Primary and Secondary School visited the Seixal Ecopark Sorting Centre, giving participants the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of waste management and recovery practices, and to observe the main processes involved in the sorting and handling of recyclable waste, from its reception through to preparation for recycling.

Students on the Master’s in Environmental Engineering at UNL-FCT visit the Setúbal and Palmela Ecopark Composting Plant
Students on the Master’s in Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, visited the Setúbal and Palmela Ecopark Composting Plant. During the visit, they observed the main processes involved in the recovery of organic waste, from reception through to the production of compost, thereby strengthening their practical knowledge of sustainable waste management.

Students from the Open University visit the Seixal Ecopark
In February, Amarsul hosted a group of students from the Complementary Training Course in Environmental Engineering at the Open University of Lisbon, located in the Seixal Ecopark. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to see firsthand how the Sorting Plant operates, consolidating their knowledge of waste recovery and deepening their understanding of the role of the circular economy in promoting more sustainable solutions.
