Amarsul is implementing improvements to the door-to-door recycling collection service, with the aim of increasing its efficiency and ensuring a better service for participating residents. In this context, we would like to remind you that door-to-door recycling bins must be placed on the pavement the evening before the scheduled collection day. Collection may take place between 06:00 and 23:00, so placing bins out in good time is essential to ensure that waste is collected on the scheduled day.

Amarsul took part in the ‘Há Festa no Parque’ initiative, held on 30 and 31 May at Bonfim Park in Setúbal, reinforcing its commitment to environmental education and raising community awareness of proper waste sorting. Located within the area dedicated to the Environment, Amarsul’s stand welcomed over 600 participants, including children, young people and adults, who had the opportunity to learn and test their knowledge through educational games and interactive challenges related to recycling and sustainability.

As part of the Waste Treatment Systems module, students on the Master’s in Environmental Engineering at NOVA FCT visited the Seixal Ecopark. The students toured the Automated Sorting Plant and the Organic Waste Recovery Plant, gaining first-hand insight into the processes and technologies involved in the management and recovery of urban waste.

Amarsul welcomed a group of teachers from the European Projects Development organisation to the Palmela Ecopark for a visit focused on sharing knowledge and best practices in the field of environmental and waste management.

The YARD Festival, which takes place from 21 to 24 May in Azeitão, has been awarded the Amarsul Ecoevento certification, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and the adoption of good environmental practices. As an Ecoevento, the Festival takes on the responsibility of promoting more conscious behaviour among participants, encouraging the correct separation of waste and the reduction of the environmental impact associated with staging the event.

Amarsul took part in the 5th Barreiro-Moita Training and Employment Fair, which took place on 29 and 30 April at the Moita Municipal Exhibition Centre, an event that attracted thousands of visitors keen to learn about the region’s business community and its academic and professional opportunities. As a leading company in urban waste management on the Setúbal Peninsula, Amarsul used this opportunity to highlight its role as a major employer, showcasing the various career opportunities currently available in operational and technical areas.
