Amarsul marked National Workplace Safety and Prevention Day by reaffirming its commitment to promoting the safety, health, and well-being of all employees.
More than just a symbolic date, this occasion represents an opportunity to strengthen the organization’s safety culture, where prevention and the adoption of safe behaviors play a central role in day-to-day operations.
Various activities were organized with field teams, promoting dialogue and reflection on safe work environments. All initiatives included a 10-minute “safety moment,” which raised awareness about the importance of risk prevention and individual and collective responsibility.
The day was also marked by a particularly significant moment: a tribute to employee Nuno Lisboa, which took the form of the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and the naming of a staff lounge after him.
Operational teams were also honoured with the presentation of the Golden Helmet, in recognition of their performance and commitment to good safety practices and the zero-accident target.
These initiatives reinforce Amarsul’s strategic pillars in the area of safety:
- Promoting health and well-being in the workplace
- Valuing safety as a core value of the organisation
- Recognising the teams’ efforts in reducing accident rates
Amarsul thus continues to invest in a robust and participatory safety culture, where everyone plays an active role in building a safer working environment.
